⁠Environment

Every setting is an environment variable, so projects override it in environment: instead of mounting ini files.

Xdebug is loaded and off (xdebug.mode = off in docker-php-ext-xdebug.ini). Set XDEBUG_MODE (for example debug or coverage) to turn it on; dqx xdebug on does that per site.

The image runs as root in /var/www, uses php.ini-development, and has no HEALTHCHECK (compose or dqx defines one).

⁠Extend

Project-specific needs go into a project Dockerfile on top of this image. Install the build tools, compile and remove them in one RUN; add the runtime libraries an extension needs (for example libldap for ldap):
