PHP extensions added to the official image: bcmath, exif, gd, igbinary 3.2.17RC1, intl, mbstring, msgpack 3.0.1, mysqli, pcntl, pcov 1.0.12, pdo_mysql, redis 6.3.0, sockets, xdebug 3.5.3, zend opcache, zip.
/etc/dqx-image.json in the image lists the exact versions it was built with.
Every setting is an environment variable, so projects override it in environment: instead of mounting ini files.

The image runs as root in /var/www, uses php.ini-development, and has no HEALTHCHECK (compose or dqx defines one).
Project-specific needs go into a project Dockerfile on top of this image. Install the build tools, compile and remove them in one RUN; add the runtime libraries an extension needs (for example libldap for ldap):
