⁠C++ Conan Development Environment (L2)

This is the flagship, Layer 2 (L2) image of the suite. It provides a complete, out-of-the-box C++ development environment by adding the Conan package manager on top of the L1 compiler image.

⁠Image Hierarchy

• L0: doner357/dev-tools-base (Provides common tools)
• L1: doner357/cpp-compilers-base (Adds GCC & Clang)
• L2: doner357/cpp-conan-base (This image: Adds Conan package manager)

⁠Key Features

• Inherits all tools from doner357/cpp-compilers-base.
• Conan 2: The C/C++ Package Manager, installed in a dedicated Python virtual environment.
• Pre-configured Profiles: Includes an auto-detected default profile, plus gcc-default and clang-default for specific toolchain usage.

⁠Available Tags

This image uses a composite tagging scheme: [version]-[os]-[components].

• Immutable: 1.1.0-noble-c18g14cn2
• Minor Floating: 1.1-noble-c18g14cn2
• Latest Floating: latest-noble-c18g14cn2

⁠Usage

Mount your project directory and start developing immediately.

# Pull the latest stable version
docker pull doner357/cpp-conan-base:latest-noble-c18g14cn2

# Run an interactive session with your project mounted
docker run -it --rm -v "$(pwd):/work" -w /work doner357/cpp-conan-base:latest-noble-c18g14cn2

# Inside the container, check the tools
# conan --version
# conan profile list
# g++ --version
