⁠What is cakebuild?

Cakebuild offers docker images that allow developers to easily build applications with cake scripts. See https://cakebuild.net/⁠ for more information about cake scripts.

⁠Supported tags and respective Dockerfile links:

• dotnet-core-latest (flavors/dotnet-core/latest/Dockerfile⁠)
• dotnet-core-2-sdk (flavors/dotnet-core/2-sdk/Dockerfile⁠)
• dotnet-framework-sdk (flavors/dotnet-framework/sdk/Dockerfile⁠)

⁠Usage

If your source repository contains a build.cake file, you can run that build script by mounting the workspace directory into the docker container. The following examples should make this more clear.

⁠build.cake with a default target

docker -v `pwd`/workspace:/workspace -w /workspace dpsenner/cakebuild:dotnet-core-latest

⁠custom.cake build script with a default target

docker -v `pwd`/workspace:/workspace -w /workspace dpsenner/cakebuild:dotnet-core-latest custom.cake

⁠build.cake but run a specific target

docker -v `pwd`/workspace:/workspace -w /workspace dpsenner/cakebuild:dotnet-core-latest --target=Build-Foo

⁠custom.cake build script with a specific target

docker -v `pwd`/workspace:/workspace -w /workspace dpsenner/cakebuild:dotnet-core-latest custom.cake --target=Build-Foo
