⁠Driven Scala Server

This repo is for all our Scala APIs

It started off as a template from activator-akka-scala-seed: A minimal seed template for an Akka with Scala build

⁠Setup (Dev)

1. Ensure you have scala, sbt and docker on your local machine
2. Ensure you have the latest code and are in the root folder
3. Run build.sh a) This builds the code using sbt then tags it as "latest" and pushes it to Amazon Elastic Container Registry (AWS ECR)
4. ssh into staging.sgdriven.com a1) ssh -i driven_jerry.pem [email protected]⁠ OR a2) ssh [email protected]⁠ i) Currently the server files are under driven user folder b) run scripts/driven_server_refresh.sh i) This script is commit in the Driven_Dev_Server repo ii) This script pulls the latest repo from AWS ECR iii) docker container name: drivencontainer

⁠Notes (Dev)

DB Access is at staging.sgdriven.com/phpmyadmin

⁠Setup (Live)

1. Ensure you have scala, sbt and docker on your local machine

2. Ensure you have the latest code and are in the root folder

3. Run build-production.sh a) This builds the code using sbt then tags it as "stable-latest" and pushes it to Amazon Elastic Container Registry (AWS ECR)

4. Login to AWS console

5. Nav to ECS > Clusters > driven-scala-api-live-medium > services > scala-api-live-medium-service > Deployments a) Note that Running Count is 1

6. Click Update

7. Change number of tasks to 0

8. Click Next, Next, Next, Update Service

9. On Deployments page wait and refresh till Running count is 0

10. Click Update

11. Change number of tasks to 1

12. Click Next, Next, Next, Update Service

13. On Deployments page wait and refresh till Running count is 1 a) You can check the Events tab to see if there is any error
