Open Source

Available at https://github.com/DSakura207/node-windows/

A GitHub Action runs daily, updates the repo when there is a change to Node.js release phases.

What is this repository?

This repository provides multiple versions of Node.js Windows images, based on Windows Server Core or .NET Framework SDK.

How are images tagged?

Image names are formed by two parts: Node.js version (tag) and base image tag.

There are three forms tags:

  • <Node.js release phase>-<base image tag>

  • <Node.js major version>-<base image tag>

  • <Node.js full version>-<base image tag>

How to use the images

The images are just like official Node.js images. You should be able to use it just like the official images.

Use a major verion

Use <Node.js major version>-<base image tag>.

Note: the image is no longer updated when the Node.js version went out of support.

Use a full version

Use <Node.js full version>-<base image tag>.

Note: once a full version image is built, it is never updated.

Use a release phase

Use <Node.js release phase>-<base image tag>

Warning:

  • When there is multiple Node.js releases at the same phase, the later release is always selected.

  • Using a release phase could cause unexpected version jump. It is not recommended unless you wanted to use it for testing.
