⁠Bareos Deps

This is an unofficial Docker image containing compiled Bareos Debian packages.

⁠Supported Tags

Tags follow this pattern:

• latest - Always points to the newest stable version
• <major> (e.g., 23) - Tracks the latest patch within that major version
• <major>.<minor>.<patch> (e.g., 23.0.3) - Pins to a specific release

⁠What is Bareos Deps?

The Bareos Deps image is a build artifact container that contains all compiled Debian packages for Bareos components. This image does not run any services itself; instead, it serves as a dependency source for building the Bareos Director, Storage Daemon, and File Daemon images.

During the build process of the Director, Storage Daemon, and File Daemon images, the compiled packages from this image are copied into those images, ensuring consistent package versions across all Bareos components.

⁠Usage

This image is not intended to be run directly. It is used as a build dependency in multi-stage Docker builds.

⁠Example Multi-Stage Build

COPY --from=deps /packages /tmp/bareos-packages

⁠Contents

This image contains compiled Debian packages for:

• Bareos Director (bareos-dir)
• Bareos Storage Daemon (bareos-sd)
• Bareos File Daemon (bareos-fd)
• Common Bareos libraries and dependencies

⁠Licensing

• Docker Image: This image contains compiled Bareos packages and is distributed under the AGPL-3.0-only license, consistent with the upstream Bareos project.
• Build Scripts: The Dockerfile and build scripts are licensed under MPL-2.0.
