Extracts preview and metadata from url resources / files.

  • Fingerprints of resources (Hashes such as md5)
  • Preview of resources (Thumbnails for media files, pdfs)
  • Metadata extraction of resources

Preel can be accessed over a synchronous RESTful API or it can be configured to listen on a Kafka Topic and process incoming requests.

Set the environment variable KAFKA_BROKERS and point to one or more Kafka nodes.
