enomis/php-easy repository overview

PHP-EASY

Suggested for development, not for production...

COMMANDS

This image expose only ports 80 and 9000, and offers default commands to fast run the containers based on your needs:

  • enomis-crontab to start crontab. You can place your crontab in /etc/cron.d folder as for standard unix installation
  • enomis-web to run a web server to serve statics assets and process php files via fastcgi (php-fpm is automatically started with this command)
  • enomis-php-fpm to run only php-fpm like base image php:X.Y-fpm; you can also appen standard php-fpm options.

NOTE 1: run directly php-fpm could be usefull if your application scales, and you wanna avoid the overkill of runng a webserver in each image. This image doesn't cover this case, that should be better implemented using ad hoc reverse proxy with load-balancers (for example nginx with fastcgi).

NOTE 2: the web server by default offers to run only over port 80 without virtualhost. To use this image on multiple projects with routing forwarded by hostname, I suggest to use some "docker reverse proxy" image like jwilder/nginx-proxy or traefik.

You can also run standard image commands avoiding the above "shortcuts", for example:

  • bash , to access directly into container
  • php-fpm ...
  • nginx ...
  • crontab ...
