This image simplifies creating Apple Pay payment processing certificates for developers who aren't working on a MacBook. Instead of using this solution, you can follow the steps in Apple's own documentation.
To use this image:
Download this Docker image.
Create two directories, input and output, on the same machine as the downloaded Docker container.
Mount the input and output directories to the container.
Run the container using the command:
docker run -v $(pwd)/input:/input -v $(pwd)/output:/output -it eoconverse/apple-pay-cert-generator
Follow the on-screen instructions in order to generate the certificates. Note that the script does not timeout and will wait until you are ready to continue.
Copy the following output files to the input directory:
merchantIdentityPrivate.key
paymentProcessingPrivate.key
merchantIdentityCertificate.certSigningRequest
paymentProcessingCertificate.certSigningRequest
You are now ready to generate the Payment Processing and Merchant Identity certificates as described in the Apple Developer documentation.
Go to the Apple Developer console and your merchant identity. Upload the certificate signing requests when prompted.
Download the certificates generated by Apple and copy them to your input directory. The script watches the folder and automatically completes the generation of the certificates.
In EngageOne Converse, update the chatbot configuration with the contents of the Merchant Identity certificate: engageOneConverse.cer
After running the script, the output directory contains these files:
engageOneConverse.cer (the merchant certificate which you copy to the chatbot configuration in EngageOne Converse)
merchantIdentityCertificate.certSigningRequest
merchantIdentityCertificate.p12
merchantIdentityPrivate.key - this is a private key for payment processing
merchantIdentityCertificate.pem
paymentProcessingCertificate.certSigningRequest
paymentProcessingCertificate.p12 - this is a bundle of paymentProcessingCertificate and your private key. It will be needed to decode Apple Pay tokens if your payment processor does not support Apple Pay tokens.
