Please see the source code of this image in: https://github.com/e-orz/docker-firefox⁠ This is actually jlesage/firefox only modified to use firefox-esr version 45.9.0.

The reason behind it is to allow window.showModalDialog that was needed for one of the apps in our intranet.

How to use (for detailed examples see https://hub.docker.com/r/jlesage/firefox⁠):

docker run --rm --name=firefox -p 5800:5800 -v /some/path/to/persist:/config:rw --shm-size 2g -e DISPLAY_WIDTH=1600 -e DISPLAY_HEIGHT=900 eorz/firefox:45.9.0

(change /some/path/to/persist (until the colon, not including) to some real location to keep the firefox data)
