eosorio/rpi-postgresql repository overview

Based on tobi312/rpi-postgresql, this image does not use the redundant virtualisation of ARM over ARM (cross-build-start). Default time zone is America/Mexico_City (CST). It uses UID and GID 888 for user/group postgres, so if you want to link an external directory for storing the PostgreSQL structure, you may like to create first the user postgres with user ID 888 and group postgres with group ID 888 and create the directory structure before launching the container.

Use:

  1. (optional) Create user and group postgres: sudo group add -g 888 postgres sudo useradd -g postgres -u 888 postgres

Create directory structure and change ownership to user postgres sudo mkdir -p /var/lib/postgresql/9.6/main sudo chown -R postgres.postgres /var/lib/postgresql

  1. Launch container If you made step 1: docker run --name pgsql -d -p 5432:5432 -v /var/lib/postgresql/9.6/main:/var/lib/postgresql/data eosorio/rpi-postgresql:9.6 else: docker run --name pgsql -d -p 5432:5432 eosorio/rpi-postgresql:9.6
