Hawtio can be used for inspecting Java applications remotely with Jolokia. This can be particularly useful when the applications are running in Kubernetes or in a similar solution in a private network. Connect to Hawtio running in the same internal network and then inspect the target applications from a single access point.

Hawtio runs on port 8080. The current configuration does not require any authentication and allows Jolokia connections to arbitrary targets. That can obviously be a security risk if the endpoint is exposed to the world at large, so limit access to Hawtio (personally I tend to connect with a port forward from kubectl) and configure Jolokia to require authentication.
