This is a Docker image to run apgmera to search Conway's Game of Life soups for various interesting objects, and submit them to Catagolue. It is set up to search B3/S23, and would require rebuilding to change this. You can catch me on the GoL Discord and @etmoonshade if you want the source Dockerfile I used.

USAGE:

This image requires a few environment variables to be specified for it to run properly - it will run and immediately exit if you don't specify these.

Use the following command line (or something similar): docker run -d -e SOUPS=<soups> -e PAYOSHA_KEY=<key> -e THREADS=<#> etmoonshade/apgmerabase

SOUPS is the number of soups to submit per haul. This should ideally be at least a couple hundred thousand, up to millions depending on how much computer speed you have.

PAYOSHA_KEY is your Payosha256 key. If you don't have one/want one, please use #anon for this variable.

THREADS is the number of threads you want to run this on. Based on my observations, threads do NOT scale linearly. Somewhere around 4 threads seems to be where things start to drop off - when testing on my machine, I achieved 16k soups/second with 4 threads, but only 28k soups/second with 8 threads.
