⁠Run a Dogecoin fullnode in a Docker container

Make sure that port 22556 is being forwarded on your router!

docker run -p 22556:22556 -v /localfolder/dogevolume:/root/.dogecoin evaluationcopy/dogecoin-node:latest

Change the value for /localfolder/dogevolume above to an absolute path on your system where Dogecoin Core can store the blockchain data.

It is possible to run without a volume, however the blockchain data will be deleted each time you run it. This may not be wise as it can take days to download the full blockchain.

⁠Bootstrap the node

You may want to look into downloading a bootstrap.dat file separately to bootstrap the node with initial blockchain data.
Check /r/dogecoin for the latest bootstrap.dat file.
