Docker Images Project
Contains various Docker build files for creating Docker images (base images, intermediate images, etc.). Each folder is designated to one particular image, and has a Dockerfile (besides other build related stuff). Every Dockerfile is well commented and should be consulted for more information what it represents.
@damnhandy I would not even install java if I had a choice!--CI and CD serves more than java programmers you know :) Its a shame some jenkins (plugin) developers are so Java centric.
Even though with groovy (e.g. Pipeline DSL) Jenkins gets pretty powerful.
@shiryaev while you'd be saving space, you're giving up things like
javac, which is kind of crucial on a build node :)
I think it's enough to install openjdk-7-jre-headless or even default-jre-headless to save some disc space.
FROM ubuntu:latest and set repo to precise is not aligned.
Probably we can change FROM ubuntu:latest -> ubuntu:precise
Surely I more prefer trusty ;-) as it is latest
