Docker Images Project

Contains various Docker build files for creating Docker images (base images, intermediate images, etc.). Each folder is designated to one particular image, and has a Dockerfile (besides other build related stuff). Every Dockerfile is well commented and should be consulted for more information what it represents.

The Docker image has been upgraded to use JDK 8 thankfully to the help of @kellystuard!

@damnhandy I would not even install java if I had a choice!--CI and CD serves more than java programmers you know :) Its a shame some jenkins (plugin) developers are so Java centric.

Even though with groovy (e.g. Pipeline DSL) Jenkins gets pretty powerful.

@shiryaev while you'd be saving space, you're giving up things like javac, which is kind of crucial on a build node :)

I think it's enough to install openjdk-7-jre-headless or even default-jre-headless to save some disc space.

FROM ubuntu:latest and set repo to precise is not aligned.

Probably we can change FROM ubuntu:latest -> ubuntu:precise

Surely I more prefer trusty ;-) as it is latest
