niruix/sshwifty with localhost shell access
343
This is an image based on niruix/sshwifty with additional root SSH access. The Sshwifty instance is exposed on port 8182, this is inherited from the original image.
The SSH port is not exposed from the container. Instead, you can connect as root@localhost via the sshwifty interface.
A new SSH host key is generated during container startup if it has not been generated yet (or it was manually deleted).
For (at least some) security, the access is protected. Currently, only a public key authentication is available.
You need to specify an SSH_KEY environment variable, for example (replace the key with your own!):
docker run -d -e SSH_KEY="ssh-ed25519 AAAAC3NzaC1lZDI1NTE5AAAAIMJizK4VPqhjvKr05bWR7dnWRnxMbsHCZHiwfrJZeubp key-name" --name shell -p 8080:8182 fedreher/sshwifty-debug
If SSH_KEY is not specified, there will be no way to actually connect to the internal SSH server. (But otherwise the Sshwifty instance will work normally when connecting to other servers.)
