Dockerized java rest application to generate qr codes.
902
QR-Code Server is a dockerized Java (Amazon Corretto 17) rest application to generate qr codes based on ZXing Project. Find more informations, dockerfile and code at github.com:
https://github.com/tomcat128/qr-code-server
docker run --rm -p 8080:8080 -p 80:8080 --name qrcode-server fehrenbacher/qrcode-server:latest
If container is running, you can POST your requests to http://localhost:8080/
RequestBody should look like: { "data": "https://www.github.com", "errorLevel": "LOW", "imageSize": 200 }
More examples at:
https://github.com/tomcat128/qr-server/blob/main/README.md#how-to-use-qr-server
Lets say, we want to change the port of the application. Then create an folder with an "application.properties" inside it. Add for example "server.port=7777" to the configuration. Then run again the container with the following command:
docker run --rm -p 8080:7777 -p 80:7777 -v "$PWD":/srv/config --name qrcode-server qrcode-server:latest
With docker logs qrcode-server you can check the port the application was started.
But remember: 7777 is the port inside the container. You still only access the app with the mapped ports 80 and 8080.
