Docker inside of Alpine. This is experimental.

Docker containers in the cloud are unsafe. The provider can access the container with root shell at any time (technically).
With docker inside of Linux, this could change.
Here we would have options to encrypt directories, run external calls to unlock or start docker containers.
We could limit useful access to ssh shells.
This alpine-docker container does not start the docker daemon.
This could be done with a start command, if you have access to setting this.
Read more about the use of a host socket (mapped as a "volume" into the container).
Example:
docker run -it -v /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock alpine-docker dockerd
(Or in build file: CMD ["dockerd"] )
Image is built with these instructions:
FROM alpine:latest
# Install docker
RUN apk update
RUN apk add docker
# Install other usefull libraries
RUN apk add openssh bash curl wget nano git htop vim
RUN apk add python3
#RUN apk add iptables ip6tables
#RUN apk add -u awall
#RUN apk info awall
# Create a non-root user with a specified user ID (1001 in this example)
# Could be used for docker management
RUN adduser -D -u 1001 -h /home/myuser doc
# Make sure the user can access the Docker socket
RUN addgroup doc docker
CMD ["sleep", "infinity"]
