These are (in order of complexity):\n\n- _\"Have everything automatically done for me\"_. See Section **1. The Fastest Way** (recommended).\n- _\"Check the unit tests associated to the component\"_. See Section **2. Run Unit Test of GlanceSync**.\n- _\"Check the acceptance tests are running properly\"_ or _\"I want to check that my GlanceSync instance run properly\"_ . See Section **3. Run Acceptance tests**.\n\nYou do not need to do all of them, just use the first one if you want to have a fully operational GlanceSync instance and maybe third one to check if your GlanceSync\ninstance run properly.\n\nYou need to have docker in your machine. See the [documentation](https://docs.docker.com/installation/) on how to do this. Additionally, you can use the proper FIWARE Lab docker\nfunctionality to deploy dockers image there. See the [documentation](https://docs.docker.com/installation/)\n\n----\n## 1. The Fastest Way\n\nDocker allows you to deploy an GlanceSync container in a few minutes. This method requires that you have installed docker or can deploy container into the FIWARE Lab\n(see previous details about it).\n\nConsider this method if you want to try GlanceSync and do not want to bother about losing data.\n\nFollow these steps:\n\n1. Download [GlanceSync' source code](https://github.com/telefonicaid/fiware-glancesync) from GitHub (`git clone https://github.com/telefonicaid/fiware-glancesync.git`)\n2. `cd fiware-glancesync/docker`\n3. Using the command-line and within the directory you created type: `docker build -t fiware-glancesync -f Dockerfile .`.\n\nAfter a few seconds you should have your GlanceSync image created. Just run the command `docker images` and you see the following response:\n\n REPOSITORY TAG IMAGE ID CREATED SIZE\n fiware-glancesync latest e9ffdd94adfe 58 seconds ago 714.4 MB\n centos latest 50dae1ee8677 6 days ago 196.7 MB\n ...\n\nTo execute the GlanceSync image, execute the command `docker run -p 8080:8080 -d fiware-glancesync`. It will launch the GlanceSync service listening on port `8080`.\n\nCheck that everything works with\n\n\tcurl :8080\n\nYou can obtain the IP address of the machine just executing `docker-machine ip`. What you have done with this method is the creation of the [GlanceSync](https://hub.docker.com/r/fiware/glancesync/) image from the public repository of images called [Docker Hub](https://hub.docker.com/).\n\nIf you want to stop the scenario you have to execute `docker ps` and you see something like this:\n\n CONTAINER ID IMAGE COMMAND CREATED STATUS PORTS NAMES\n 36af661ae2c6 fiware-glancesync \"/bin/sh -c ./start.s\" 2 minutes ago Up 2 minutes 0.0.0.0:8080->8080/tcp pensive_jang\n\n\nTake the Container ID and execute `docker stop 36af661ae2c6` or `docker kill 36af661ae2c6`. Note that you will lose any data that was being used in GlanceSync using this method.\n\n----\n## 2. Run Unit Test of GlanceSync\n\nTaking into account that you download the repository from GitHub (See Section **1. The Fastest Way**), this method will launch a container running GlanceSync, and execute the unit tests associated to the component. You should move to the UnitTests folder `./UnitTests`. Just create a new docker image executing `docker build -t fiware-glancesync-unittests -f Dockerfile .`. Please keep in mind that if you do not change the name of the image it will automatically create a new one for unit tests and change the previous one to tag none.\n\nTo see that the image is created run `docker images` and you see something like this:\n\n REPOSITORY TAG IMAGE ID CREATED SIZE\n fiware-glancesync-unittests latest e9ffdd94adfe 2 minutes ago 714.4 MB\n\nTo execute the unit tests of this component, just execute `docker run --name fiware-glancesync-unittests fiware-glancesync-unittests`. Finally you can extract the information of the executed tests just executing `docker cp fiware-glancesync-unittests:/opt/fiware/glancesync/test_results .`\n\n\n> TIP: If you are trying these methods or run them more than once and come across an error saying that the container already exists you can delete it with `docker rm fiware-glancesync-unittests`. If you have to stop it first do `docker stop fiware-glancesync-unittests`.\n\nKeep in mind that if you use these commands you get access to the tags and specific versions of GlanceSync. If you do not specify a version you are pulling from `latest` by default.\n\n----\n## 3. Run Acceptance tests\n\nTaking into account that you download the repository from GitHub (See Section **1. The Fastest Way**). This method will launch a container to run the E2E tests of\nthe GlanceSync component.\n\nAcceptance tests requires to have two images create, fiware-glancesync, which contains the component itself and fiware-glancesync-acceptance with the acceptance tests to be\nexecuted agains fiware-glancesync docker. To generate both images:\n1. Download [GlanceSync' source code](https://github.com/telefonicaid/fiware-glancesync) from GitHub (`git clone https://github.com/telefonicaid/fiware-glancesync.git`)\n2. `cd fiware-glancesync/docker`\n3. Using the command-line and within the directory you created type: `docker build -t fiware-glancesync -f Dockerfile .` for fiware-glancesync image.\n4. Using the command-line and within the directory you created type: `docker build -t fiware-glancesync-acceptance -f AcceptanceTests/Dockerfile AcceptanceTests` for fiware-glancesync-acceptance image.\n\nTo see that the image is created run `docker images` and you see something like this:\n\n REPOSITORY TAG IMAGE ID CREATED SIZE\n fiware-glancesync-acceptance latest 844ba0241502 40 seconds ago 807.3 MB\n fiware-glancesync latest 5a4ef7a160e4 38 seconds ago 715.3 MB\n ...\n\nNow is time to execute the container. This time, we take advantage of the docker compose. Previously you should launch or configure a FIWARE Lab access.\nYou have to define the following environment variables:\n\n export KEYSTONE_IP=\n export ADM_TENANT_ID=\n export USER_TENANT_ID=\n export ADM_TENANT_NAME=\n export USER_TENANT_NAME=\n export ADM_USERNAME=\n export USER_USERNAME=\n export ADM_PASSWORD=\n export USER_PASSWORD=\n export Region1=\n export Region2=\n export Region3=\n export OS_USER_DOMAIN_NAME=\n export OS_PROJECT_DOMAIN_NAME=\n\n\nJust execute `cd AcceptanceTests`and after that `docker-compose up` to launch the architecture. You can take a look to the log generated executing `docker-compose logs`.\nIf you want to get the result of the acceptance tests, just execute `docker cp acceptancetests_fiwareglancesync-acceptance_1:/opt/fiware/glancesync/tests/acceptance/testreport .`\n\nPlease keep in mind that if you do not change the name of the image it will automatically create a new one for unit tests and change the previous one to tag none.\n\n> TIP: you can launch a FIWARE Lab testbed container to execute the GlanceSync E2E test. Just follow the indications in [FIWARE Testbed Deploy](https://hub.docker.com/r/fiware/testbed-deploy/). It will launch a virtual machine in which a reproduction of the FIWARE Lab is installed.\n\n----\n## 4. Other info\n\nThings to keep in mind while working with docker containers and GlanceSync.\n\n### 4.1 Data persistence\nEverything you do with GlanceSync when dockerized is non-persistent. *You will lose all your data* if you turn off the GlanceSync container. This will happen with either method presented in this README.\n\n### 4.2 Using `sudo`\n\nIf you do not want to have to use `sudo` follow [these instructions](http://askubuntu.com/questions/477551/how-can-i-use-docker-without-sudo).\n ","has_starred","hub_user","immutable_tags_settings",{"_75":11,"_76":77},"enabled","rules",[78],".*","is_automated","permissions",{"_82":21,"_83":11,"_84":11},"read","write","admin","user","storage_size",3484312051,"orgData",{"_90":91,"_92":93,"_94":95,"_96":33,"_97":98,"_99":100,"_101":98,"_102":103,"_104":105,"_106":107,"_108":109,"_110":109,"_111":21},"id","2abccdcb15714598b4a43d8d3c1b31bf","uuid","2abccdcb-1571-4598-b4a4-3d8d3c1b31bf","type","organization","orgname","full_name","FIWARE","location","Europe","company","profile_url","http://fiware.org/","date_joined","2015-04-23T00:06:18.052957Z","gravatar_url","https://www.gravatar.com/avatar/3a391cc62ad420936326f24df7d83fc6?s=80&r=g&d=mm","gravatar_email","","badge","is_active","recentTags",[114,150],{"_115":44,"_116":117,"_118":119,"_90":120,"_121":122,"_50":139,"_140":117,"_141":33,"_142":56,"_57":143,"_144":145,"_146":130,"_147":139,"_148":65,"_149":21},"content_type","creator",282933,"full_size",229892084,4360885,"images",[123],{"_124":125,"_126":127,"_128":109,"_129":130,"_131":132,"_133":134,"_135":109,"_136":-5,"_137":119,"_63":65,"_138":-5},"architecture","amd64","digest","sha256:382bdf071b7ae7477a51e54c7a1bd41facf3e01f36e8f12f9fdc808ec5552194","features","last_pulled","2026-10-07T12:34:26.254846294Z","last_pushed","2016-09-26T10:18:42Z","os","linux","os_features","os_version","size","variant","2016-09-26T10:18:41.615987Z","last_updater","last_updater_username","media_type","latest","repository",820468,"tag_last_pulled","tag_last_pushed","tag_status","v2",{"_115":44,"_116":117,"_118":151,"_90":152,"_121":153,"_50":158,"_140":117,"_141":33,"_142":56,"_57":159,"_144":145,"_146":156,"_147":158,"_148":65,"_149":21},217100880,4042619,[154],{"_124":125,"_126":155,"_128":109,"_129":156,"_131":157,"_133":134,"_135":109,"_136":-5,"_137":151,"_63":65,"_138":-5},"sha256:fccbebf9bdf719522053f144658636459ff0496861295e68235e9f03d0c574ab","2026-10-07T12:34:26.763650542Z","2016-11-15T21:34:26Z","2016-11-15T21:34:25.796394Z","develop","sbxKitMetadata","isPotentialSpam","isHubSbxKitsEnabled","showSbxLogoOverride","sbxTrademarkText","displaySecurityMetadata","tagAttestations","tagsHaveAttestations",[],"selectedTag","attestationsUrl","routes/_layout.r.$namespace.$reponame.tags",{"_38":173,"_180":181,"_167":194,"_195":11},{"_40":174,"_42":175,"_45":46,"_47":48,"_49":11,"_50":51,"_52":53,"_54":176,"_57":35,"_32":33,"_58":59,"_60":-5,"_61":62,"_63":62,"_64":65,"_66":-5,"_67":68,"_69":70,"_71":11,"_72":33,"_73":177,"_79":21,"_80":179,"_85":33,"_86":87},[],[44],[56],{"_75":11,"_76":178},[78],{"_82":21,"_83":11,"_84":11},"tags",{"_182":183,"_184":-5,"_185":-5,"_186":187},"count",2,"next","previous","results",[188,191],{"_115":44,"_116":117,"_118":151,"_90":152,"_121":189,"_50":158,"_140":117,"_141":33,"_142":56,"_57":159,"_144":145,"_146":156,"_147":158,"_148":65,"_149":21},[190],{"_124":125,"_126":155,"_128":109,"_129":156,"_131":157,"_133":134,"_135":109,"_136":-5,"_137":151,"_63":65,"_138":-5},{"_115":44,"_116":117,"_118":119,"_90":120,"_121":192,"_50":139,"_140":117,"_141":33,"_142":56,"_57":143,"_144":145,"_146":130,"_147":139,"_148":65,"_149":21},[193],{"_124":125,"_126":127,"_128":109,"_129":130,"_131":132,"_133":134,"_135":109,"_136":-5,"_137":119,"_63":65,"_138":-5},[],"canDeleteTags","actionData","errors"]
