flushy/odin repository overview

A lightweight, multi-architecture Docker container for the Odin programming language, featuring automated nightly builds and support for specific upstream version tags.

šŸš€ Features Built from Source: Compiles directly against modern LLVM/Clang for maximum stability and compatibility.

Multi-Architecture Support: Built for both linux/amd64 and linux/arm64 (fully compatible with Apple Silicon, x86 servers, and CI environments).

Automated CI/CD: Automatically tracks the bleeding-edge master branch nightly or builds specific upstream Odin release tags on demand.

šŸ› ļø Quick Start If you want to run or test Odin inside the container without installing it on your host machine:

  1. Check Compiler Version
docker run --rm flushy/odin:nightly odin version
  1. Compile and Run an Odin Project Mount your local source code directory into /app inside the container:
docker run --rm -v $(pwd):/app flushy/odin:nightly odin run src/main.odin

  1. Interactive Development Shell To drop into an interactive bash shell with your workspace mounted:
docker run --rm -it -v $(pwd):/app flushy/odin:nightly bash

šŸ“¦ Available Image Tags flushy/odin:nightly — Tracks the latest upstream Odin master branch (updated daily).

šŸ”„ Automated Pipelines This repository uses GitHub Actions to manage builds:

Nightly Schedule: Automatically compiles and pushes a fresh :nightly container every day at 2:00 AM UTC.

Manual Dispatch: You can trigger builds manually from the GitHub Actions tab to publish any specific upstream Odin version tag on demand.
