To run all the docker commands without sudo, you have to add yourself to the docker group. Run these commands:
id
### ... groups=...,4(adm),27(sudo)
# groups will vary on your system
# if the docker group is not listed, add yourself to it
sudo usermod -a -G docker $USER
# logout and login and check again
id
### ... groups=...,4(adm),27(sudo),142(docker)
To run a single image, run these commands:
docker pull fossee/scilab:latest
docker run -p 127.0.0.1:8001:8001 -d fossee/scilab:latest
In browser, enter this URL:
To run multiple images, run these commands:
docker pull fossee/scilab:2023.1
docker pull fossee/scilab:6.1
docker pull fossee/scilab:5.5
docker run -p 127.0.0.1:8001:8001 -d fossee/scilab:2023.1
docker run -p 127.0.0.1:8002:8001 -d fossee/scilab:6.1
docker run -p 127.0.0.1:8003:8001 -d fossee/scilab:5.5
In browser, enter these URLs in different browser tabs / windows:
127.0.0.1:8001/example
127.0.0.1:8002/example
127.0.0.1:8003/example
To stop all running images, run this command:
docker ps -q | xargs -r docker stop
