This is a simple Docker image to control a Broadlink Wifi-IR-Bridge.
I bought myself a Broadlink RM MINI3 (like this one: https://amzn.eu/d/b4tM7dV) and found the awesome Project BlackBeanControl (https://github.com/davorf/BlackBeanControl) for Controlling this bridge from the command line.
Because i had to change a few things in my System i needed a easier way to use these commands without installing it on a host system.
So, get yourself a Broadlink IR bridge, get it to work with your wifi, look in your router whats the mac and ip address, create a File with the following content:
[General]
IPAddress =
Port = 80
MACAddress =
Timeout = 20
[Commands]
Put in there the ip address and the mac address of your Broadlink device and run:
docker run --rm -v /home/user/MyIpAndMacFile:/blackbeancontrol/BlackBeanControl.ini --net bridge freakern/blackbeancontrol MyFancyName
When you execute this command the first time, the script is in learning mode. Press a Command on your TV Remote to learn the Infrared signal. The Infrared signal is now associated with "MyFancyName"
Execute the Command the second time to actually execute the IR signal.
Didn't tried it on a rasperry pi... I will update if this works on a PI!
