Quick start

docker run -d --name="e2guardian" \
    -v /path/to/yourconfig:/etc/e2guardian \
    -v /path/to/yourlog:/var/log \
    -p 8080:8080 \
    --restart=unless-stopped \
    fredbcode/e2guardian:v5.4

When a file is modified/created/removed from /etc/e2guardian, the process is automatically reloaded (eg: blacklist update)

Note that there are significant changes to the configuration files in this release and the sample lists have been re-organized into sub-directories. For details see e2guardian.conf, e2guardianf1.conf and the README files in configs/lists configs/lists/common and config/lists/example.group

Note: Some configuration files in this version are not backward compatible

e2guardian is a content filtering proxy that can work in explicit and transparent proxy mode or as a ICAP server mode. More information can be found in the "notes" subdirectory of the distribution, and the comments in the configuration and list files themselves.
