Webgrabpp

Generate a new channels list

Look for @auto_xml_channel_start & @auto_xml_channel_end and uncomment everyting inbetween those two elements in your site.ini file.

Remove all existing channel tags in WebGrab++.config.xml and insert a dummy one like this:

<channel update="f" site="mysite.com" site_id="" xmltv_id="dummy">dummy</channel>

Make sure you'll grab EPG for only 1 day:

<timespan>0</timespan>

Run the docker container once and then get the newly generated site.channels.xml with docker cp webgrabpp:/config/site.channels.xml ./.

Copy all the channel tags in this file and paste them in your WebGrab++.config.xml file. Make sure you remove the dummy tag we inserted earlier.

Now recomment the channels generation code in site.ini.

Generate a new EPG

Build the container with docker build -t webgrabpp . and start it with docker run webgrabpp. Generating a new EPG can take a while depending on how many channels you have in your config file.

Once its done, the container will shutdown itself and you can get the epg back with docker cp webgrabpp:/data/guide.xml ./.

I would suggest to use timers or cronjobs to execute both actions (starting the container & retrieving the file from the container's file system) daily.

Your own config file

Alernatively if you don't want to rebuild this image, you could just link your own config folder to the config volume used in this image. Ex: docker run --name webgrabpp -v /home/florent/webgrabpp/config/:/config/ fsegouin/webgrabpp. This will override the ini & config files used in this image.
