Gendl: the AGPL Knowledge-Based Engineering engine from Genworks. Run it in Basalt with Readymacs.
10K+
Gendl is the open-source Knowledge-Based Engineering (KBE) engine from Genworks International: a declarative, object-oriented language and runtime embedded in Common Lisp, with geometry, a web layer (GWL), and an MCP endpoint through which AI agents work in the same running image as people. Free software under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3 or later.

Every image serves HTTP on 9080 (CCL) or 9090 (SBCL) and Swank on
4200, and answers the Lisply MCP protocol at /lisply/.
The recommended, supported way to run Gendl is a Basalt deployment with a Readymacs console: one command brings up the engines, the console, and the MCP wiring for Claude, Gemini, Codex, and Grok.
git clone https://github.com/genworks/basalt
cd basalt && ./basalt up
To run one engine on its own:
docker run -it --rm -p 9080:9080 -p 4200:4200 genworks/gendl:devo-ccl
