OIE Web Client

A standalone, web-based administrator for Open Integration Engine (https://github.com/openintegrationengine⁠) (OIE / Mirth Connect) — a browser replacement for the Swing Administrator. The container runs a Node server that serves the SPA and reverse-proxies your engine's REST API. Authentication is the engine's own; no credentials are stored in the app, and no configuration is baked into the image.

Quick start

docker run --rm -p 3030:3030

Open http://localhost:3030⁠ and sign in with your engine credentials. The engine must be running and reachable from inside the container — localhost is the container itself, so use host.docker.internal for an engine on the Docker host, or its real hostname. The engine also needs the OIE Web Support plugin (https://github.com/gibson9583/oie-web-support-plugin⁠) for message-tree serialization and script validation.

Configuration

Everything is set from outside the image, three ways (any combination):

1. Per-setting env vars

• OIE_URL — engine base URL (default https://127.0.0.1:8443⁠)
• OIE_VERIFY_TLS — true to verify the engine's TLS cert; default false (engines ship self-signed)
• WEBADMIN_PORT — listen port (default 3030)
• WEBADMIN_TLS_KEY / WEBADMIN_TLS_CERT — serve the UI itself over HTTPS (mounted PEM paths)
• WEBADMIN_TRUSTED_PROXIES — peer IPs trusted to set X-Forwarded-For

1. A mounted config document — the full surface, including the multi-engine login picker (allowedUrls), tls, and plugin settings:

Reference mounted files (TLS PEMs) by absolute path inside the document.

1. The document inline — e.g. injected by an orchestrator:

Precedence: env vars > WEBADMIN_CONFIG_JSON > WEBADMIN_CONFIG > built-in defaults. A named source that is missing or invalid fails startup instead of silently booting on defaults. Full settings reference: Configuration (https://github.com/gibson9583/oie-web-client#configuration⁠).

Notes

• Runs as the non-root node user; serves plain HTTP on 3030 by default — terminate TLS in a fronting proxy or use the tls config.
• Multi-arch: linux/amd64 and linux/arm64.
