github-repo: https://github.com/GravityDrowned/teaching-notebook
Is a JupyterLab variant of the Paris Saclay one. Paris-Saclay specific things are removed.
This is the docker container you want, if you would like to host a JupyterHub on OKD (Redhat openshift Kubernetes).
HowTo: run this
docker network create jupyterhub
docker pull gravitydrowned/teaching-notebook:lazyjupy
docker run --rm -it -v /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock --net jupyterhub --name jupyterhub -p8000:8000 gravitydrowned/teaching-notebook:docker
Following this tutorial, this is what you need to start a JupyterHub via Docker. It has dummy authentication and lazyjupy as the default notebook.
FROM jupyterhub/jupyterhub
COPY requirements.txt /tmp/requirements.txt
RUN python3 -m pip install --no-cache -r /tmp/requirements.txt
COPY jupyterhub_config.py .
c = get_config() # noqa
# dummy for testing. Don't use this in production!
c.JupyterHub.authenticator_class = "dummy"
# launch with docker
c.JupyterHub.spawner_class = "docker"
# we need the hub to listen on all ips when it is in a container
c.JupyterHub.hub_ip = '0.0.0.0'
# the hostname/ip that should be used to connect to the hub
# this is usually the hub container's name
c.JupyterHub.hub_connect_ip = 'jupyterhub'
# pick a docker image. This should have the same version of jupyterhub
# in it as our Hub.
c.DockerSpawner.image = 'gravitydrowned/teaching-notebook:lazyjupy'
# tell the user containers to connect to our docker network
c.DockerSpawner.network_name = 'jupyterhub'
# delete containers when the stop
c.DockerSpawner.remove = True
