This is one of several related images that cooperate to perform a standards-based automatic ingest of external multicast traffic from remote sources on the internet over unicast tunnels and redistribute it as native multicast within the local network.

This one uses https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc8777⁠ to discover AMT relays for sources that receivers in a local network want to subscribe to and to open connections to them and subscribe to the traffic.
