PaperMC Docker Minecraft Image
441
This is a docker image that contains the Paper MC Minecraft Fork. It's built automagically using some other CI jobs.
This container is built with a weird version syntax due to the fact that 3 people are versioning things. They look like this:
paper-1.19.1-24-u0
^^^^^ ^^^^^^ ^^ ^^
| | | |
| | | |- Revision Number (Me)
| | |
| | |- Paper MC Build Number (PaperMC)
| |
| |- Minecraft Version Number (Mojang)
|
|- Type of server
The revision number will increment to indicate changes to this docker container that don't change the Paper or Minecraft version (like security updates or bug fixes to the container itself).
The Minecraft version and Paper MC version will reflect what's inside the container.
For this image, paper-xx-yy, paper-xx and paper will be kept update to
date with the most recent version of each. ie paper will always be the latest
Minecraft version and Paper version, paper-xx will set you on a specific
Minecraft version and the latest Paper version, and paper-xx-yy will set you
on a specific Paper build.
We build these versions:
New builds are triggered daily at about 10AM Chicago time. We only do one build a day, but Paper MC may do several so there may be version skips.
Security updates are triggered in short order, usually with 8-12 hours (depending on the severity and how fast Debian patches).
There's only one right now:
2G if you don't specify
anything. There's two volumes that you'll likely want to mount for real servers:
/opt/minecraft/map wich will contain your map data, and
/opt/minecraft/config which will contain server.properties, whitelists, etc.
The image will function without mounting things, but will spit out a warning
because if you remove the docker volumes, you'll lose your map and config.
These images are built automatically, and those are triggered via Git Tags. The tag is the full container version, and it's parsed. It needs to look like this:
paper-<mc_version>-<paper_version>-<update_version>
You'll need these tools:
To build an image, run ant build. If you specify no versions, some defaults
are put in. If you'd like to set a version, set a tag in the format above in
the DRONE_TAG environment variable.
This repository is mirrored on GitHub from my local Git / CI system. Contributions, issues, etc are welcome here (I monitor things here too). Note, that your commits will not trigger any CI! Please run tests locally to make sure your build passes.
