⁠Ansible-lint

Container image with ansible-lint⁠, built on top of gwerlas/ansible-core⁠.

⁠Tags

The X.Y.Z tags are immutable ; X.Y, X and latest move to the newest matching build (scheduled pipelines republish security patch bumps) :

⁠Usage

The container runs as the build user (non-root) inherited from the gwerlas/ansible-core⁠ image. When mounting a local directory, make sure it is readable and writable by that user, or pass your own UID/GID. The default working directory is /home/build/work.

Basic usage :

docker run -t --rm -v $PWD:/work -w /work gwerlas/ansible-lint ansible-lint

The image ships ansible-core only, so just ansible.builtin is available. The collections a lint run needs to resolve modules are not baked in: declare them in the requirements.yml of the project you lint, and ansible-lint installs them under the project's .ansible/ directory before linting :

The mounted project must be writable by the build user, and the container needs network access to Ansible Galaxy.
