⁠qTox

qTox is a chat, voice, video, and file transfer IM client using the encrypted peer-to-peer Tox protocol.

⁠Install

docker pull harpo/qtox

⁠Launching

To launch qTox in an isolated context run:

⁠Convenient configuration

x11docker --home --hostdisplay --pulseaudio --webcam --clipboard harpo/qtox

• With --clipboard you can paste but your buffer can be stolen
• With --pulseaudio you can use microphones and hear notifications but you can be listened to
• With --webcam you can video call but you can also be filmed
• With --hostdisplay it is faster but you can be screen recorded
