To launch scrot in an isolated context where files are saved to the current directory run:

docker run --rm -it --cap-drop=ALL --security-opt=no-new-privileges --net none -v $PWD:/ctx -v /tmp/.X11-unix:/tmp/.X11-unix -e DISPLAY=$DISPLAY --user=$(id -u):$(id -g) harpo/scrot "$@"
To launch scrot in an isolated context where files are always saved to a specific directory run:
#!/bin/bash
docker run --rm -it --cap-drop=ALL --security-opt=no-new-privileges --net none -v $HOME/images/captures:/ctx -v /tmp/.X11-unix:/tmp/.X11-unix -e DISPLAY=$DISPLAY --user=$(id -u):$(id -g) harpo/scrot "$@"
