⁠Applications

A collection of Dockerfiles for every application I run WIP. Inspired by jessfraz⁠.

⁠Usage

Each application directory has a README.md. Navigate to the application you are interested in for specific instructions and further information. All images are prebuilt and available on dockerhub⁠.

⁠Requirements

This project depends on x11docker⁠ for convenience. You can install x11docker with:

Your base system may require various dependencies such as pulseaudio⁠ for audio, xclip⁠ for clipboard, or nxagent⁠ for xorg isolation. You can read more about potential system dependencies here⁠.

⁠Third-party

Instructions for third-party applications exist in the third-party directory. No Dockerfiles are contained within.

⁠Debugging

⁠Outdated Kernel

Docker may provide isolation for many resources, it is still dependent on the host kernel. Applications that use modern kernel features will not run on outdated hosts. Several of the images were reported to not work on default CentOS 7 because of this. Updating to a more recent kernel will fix these issues.

⁠Inspecting X11 Images

By default x11docker will not print the applications stdout. If you need to debug one of the x11 applications consider launching from a shell and adding the -Q flag to x11docker to print the applications logs.
