⁠Vim

Vim is a greatly improved version of the good old UNIX editor Vi. Many new features have been added: multi-level undo, syntax highlighting, command line history, on-line help, spell checking, filename completion, block operations, script language, etc.

⁠Launching

⁠Global configuration

To launch Vim in an isolated context where a directory ~/ctx/vim is used as home for your .vimrc, and other files:

docker run --rm -it --net none --security-opt=no-new-privileges -e MYUID=$(id -u) -e MYGID=$(id -g) -v $PWD:/ctx -v $HOME/ctx/vim:/home/isolated -e COLUMNS=$COLUMNS -e LINES=$LINES harpo/vim "$@"
