A simple container that proxy passes to an external source.
Simply run:
docker run -d -p 80:80 -e TARGET_SERVER=<proxy location> hereblur/nginx-proxy-pass
For example, want to proxy everything to google? WHY NOT?!
docker run -d -p 80:80 -e TARGET_SERVER=http:\\/\\/google.com hereblur/nginx-proxy-pass
Or maybe another server on your network with different domain:
docker run -d -p 80:80 -e TARGET_SERVER=http:\\/\\/192.168.8.15:8080 -e TARGET_DOMAIN=www.test.host hereblur/nginx-proxy-pass
This url path is not proxied to target server. it's response by the container it's self for health checking purpose.
http://192.168.1.99:8080/health-check/
