This image is no longer actively maintained.

tdarr_node_ffprobe was originally created to provide updated FFmpeg/FFprobe functionality and improved AV1 encoding support on top of the official Tdarr Node image.

The official Tdarr Node image has since added updated FFmpeg/FFprobe support, including AV1 encoding support.

Current official Tdarr Node releases include FFmpeg/FFprobe with support for encoders including:

• SVT-AV1
• NVIDIA NVENC AV1
• Intel Quick Sync AV1
• AMD AMF AV1
• VAAPI AV1

As a result, this custom image is no longer necessary for its original purpose.

⁠Existing Users

Existing versions of this image will remain available and are not being removed.

However, new installations should use the official Tdarr Node image:

ghcr.io/haveagitgat/tdarr_node:latest

Existing users are encouraged to migrate to the official image when convenient.

⁠Why This Image Was Deprecated

The current official Tdarr Node and this custom image were compared directly.

Both currently use:

FFmpeg 7.1.4-Jellyfin
FFprobe 7.1.4-Jellyfin

and expose the same primary AV1 encoding options.

Continuing to maintain a separate image would therefore provide little benefit while potentially causing confusion about which Tdarr Node image users should run.

Thanks to everyone who used this image while the additional FFmpeg/AV1 support was needed.
