Pimcore is an award-winning software, which delivers significant business value by breaking up data silos that exist in many companies.
Running Pimcore with a database server is the recommended way. You can run the containers manually.
If you want to run the application these are the basic steps you need to run:
$ docker network create pimcore-tier
$ docker volume create --name mariadb_data
$ docker run -d --name mariadb \
-e ALLOW_EMPTY_PASSWORD=yes \
-e MARIADB_USER=pimcore \
-e MARIADB_PASSWORD=pimcore \
-e MARIADB_DATABASE=pimcore \
--net pimcore-tier \
--volume mariadb_data:/bitnami \
bitnami/mariadb:latest
Note: You need to give the container a name in order for Pimcore to resolve the host
$ docker volume create --name pimcore_data
$ docker run -d --name pimcore -p 80:80 \
-e PIMCORE_INSTALL_MYSQL_HOSTNAME=mariadb \
--net pimcore-tier \
--volume pimcore_data:/opt/pimcore \
hfarm/pimcore:latest
Then you can access your application at http://your-ip/

When you start the pimcore image, you can adjust the configuration of the instance by passing one or more environment variables either on the docker-compose file or on the docker run command line. If you want to add a new environment variable:
