If you want to be able to run composer as if it was installed on your host locally, you can define the following function in your ~/.bashrc, ~/.zshrc or similar. Also do "source ~/.bashrc", "source ~/.zshrc" or reload the terminal.
composer () {
tty=
tty -s && tty=--tty
docker run \
$tty \
--interactive \
--rm \
--user $(id -u):$(id -g) \
--volume /etc/passwd:/etc/passwd:ro \
--volume /etc/group:/etc/group:ro \
--volume $(pwd)/:/app/ \
hkirsman/wunder-composer "$@"
}
Also enabled cache for the /app mount point which makes it seem to run faster on Mac.
composer () {
tty=
tty -s && tty=--tty
docker run \
$tty \
--interactive \
--rm \
--volume ~/.composer/:/composer/:cached \
--volume $(pwd)/:/app/:cached \
hkirsman/wunder-composer "$@"
}
