What do you need:
-Domain (I'll suggest you NameCheap)
-VPS / Dedicated Server with Public IP (I'll suggest you Revolution Hosting*)
-Unused and public opened (meant, not blocked by firewall) ports: 80 and 443
What you have to do:
First, connect domain* to the Public IP with A record, then create a CNAME record called api that point to main domain
Example:
A - api.domain.com -A-> 0.0.0.0
Now copy this command temporarily in notepad and modify your-domain.com with your domain previously registered and configured, then copy new configurated domain and paste it in your server SSH session
docker run -d \
--name pwrt \
-e DOMAIN="your-domain.com" \
-e MAIL="[email protected]" \
-p 80:80 -p 443:443 \
houna/pwrt:latest
Then you can go to the browser and type https://api.your-domain.com/ and, if you see this
{
"ok":false,
"error_code":400,
"description":"The only method that can be called without authorization is phoneLogin"
}
you have do all right!
The MAIL variable should contain a VALID and working email address, otherwise Let's Encrypt fails to generate your certificate.
*If you're using Cloudflare, be aware to disable the Cloudflare protection (the orange cloud at the right side of domain records), otherwise Caddy not works!
If you want to bind path, you can add -v flag with your custom path on the main container flags, that resolves into /home/pwrtelegram/sessions folder.
Example: -v /docker/pwrt:/home/pwrtelegram/sessions.
*You can find vps' (and not only) at very good price on Revolution Hosting. **Website: ** https://rhosting.it/ **Telegram Channel: ** https://t.me/rhosting
