Docker image for downloading videos using yt-dlp
1.5K
This image packages yt-dlp into a Docker container, allowing you to download videos without installing yt-dlp locally.
Run the container and pass the video URL as an argument:
docker run hridoy3519/youtube-dl "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIDEO_ID"
⚠️ If the URL contains &, it must be wrapped in quotes to avoid shell issues.
Example:
docker run hridoy3519/youtube-dl "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIDEO_ID"
Save downloads to your machine
By default, downloaded files stay inside the container. To save them to your local machine, mount the current directory:
docker run -v "$(pwd):/mydir" hridoy3519/youtube-dl "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIDEO_ID"
