⁠hugojosefson/jenkins-dockerception

Run Jenkins in Docker with more Docker.

Allow Jenkins to spawn Docker containers when it builds. And keep the convenience of getting Jenkins via Docker.

Based on jenkins/jenkins:lts, and is automatically rebuilt by Docker Hub every time a new lts version is pushed to the jenkins/jenkins repo.

⁠Prerequisites

Install Docker.

curl https://get.docker.com | sh
sudo usermod -aG docker $(id -un)
sudo su - $(id -un)                 # or log out, then log in again
sudo systemctl enable docker
sudo systemctl start docker

⁠Install jenkins-dockerception

This will install and start a Docker container named jenkins, which will auto-start on boot.

curl -s https://raw.githubusercontent.com/hugojosefson/jenkins-dockerception/master/install-jenkins-dockerception | bash

Check the log for initial login password, and copy it:

docker logs -f jenkins

Continue Jenkins setup at http://localhost:8080/⁠

⁠Optionally, build

You may optionally build the jenkins-dockerception image yourself.
