Sawtooth PoET is a consensus engine for Hyperledger Sawtooth that uses Proof of Elapsed Time (PoET) consensus. This method offers a Byzantine fault tolerant (BFT) consensus algorithm that uses a “trusted execution environment” to improve on the efficiency of previous solutions such as Proof-of-Work consensus.
