⁠mingw-w64

This is a container image of Debian 13 with the latest version of Mingw-w64⁠ compiled from source. My main use case for this is to ensure C or C++ projects will compile successfully with upcoming versions of Mingw-w64. If you simply want a stable version of Mingw-w64 for standard development, it is recommended that you install it via a package manager. See here⁠ for more info.

Run container, mounting a dev directory and directory shared between host and a Windows VM:

podman run --name mingw-latest -it -v ~/dev:/root/dev -v ~/shared:/share icyguider/mingw-w64

Inside the container you can run x86_64-w64-mingw32-gcc --version to see the installed Mingw-w64 version:

x86_64-w64-mingw32-gcc (GCC) 17.0.0 20260422 (experimental)
