⁠Astria

Astria is an open-source, community-driven media manager and transcoding server. It indexes your video library, fetches metadata, and provides on-the-fly transcoding so you can stream your media from any browser.

⁠Quick Start

docker run -d \
  --name astria \
  -p 8080:8080 \
  -v /path/to/media:/var/media \
  -v /path/to/config:/home/astria/.config/astria \
  idrum4316/astria

Then open http://localhost:8080⁠ in your browser.

When adding a library in the Astria UI, remember that your media is mounted at /var/media inside the container.

⁠User / Group ID

By default, the container runs as UID/GID 1000. If your media files are owned by a different user, you can set ASTRIA_UID and ASTRIA_GID to match:

docker run -d \
  --name astria \
  -p 8080:8080 \
  -e ASTRIA_UID=$(id -u) \
  -e ASTRIA_GID=$(id -g) \
  -v /path/to/media:/var/media \
  -v /path/to/config:/home/astria/.config/astria \
  idrum4316/astria

This ensures the process inside the container can read your media files and write config/database files with the correct ownership.
