Run container and mount directory that you want to backup. Use every utility the way you would use it regular way.\n\n# How to change timezone ?\nIf you know your timezone for example `America/New_York` then immediately after container run `cp /usr/share/zoneinfo/America/New_York /etc/localtime` otherwise check allavailable options inside the container by using `ls /usr/share/zoneinfo/`\n\n# Sorce code\n[github](https://github.com/IvanKuchin/ssh-rsync-mysql-client)\n\n# Docker example\nCopying directory from docker host to remote server over SSH:
\n`docker run --rm -i \\`
\n`-v :/ssh-identity/id_rsa \\`
\n`-v :/storage \\`
\n`ikuchin/ssh-rsync-mysql-client \\`
\n`rsync -rptoDzh --delete -e \\\"ssh -i /ssh-identity/id_rsa -o 'StrictHostKeyChecking no'\\\" /storage/ @:/storage`
\n
\nSame as above done only on Fri with in NY timezone:
\n`docker run --rm -i \\`
\n`-v :/ssh-identity/id_rsa \\`
\n`-v :/storage \\`
\n`ikuchin/ssh-rsync-mysql-client \\`
\n`cp /usr/share/zoneinfo/America/New_York /etc/localtime \\`
\n`if [[ $(date +%u) -eq 5 ]]; then \\`
\n`rsync -rptoDzh --delete -e \\\"ssh -i /ssh-identity/id_rsa -o 'StrictHostKeyChecking no'\\\" /storage/ @:/storage; \\`\n'fi`\n\n# Kubernetes example\n\n``` yaml\napiVersion: batch/v1\nkind: CronJob\nmetadata:\n name: backup-daily-cronjob\nspec:\n schedule: \"0 3 * * *\"\n concurrencyPolicy: Forbid\n jobTemplate:\n spec:\n template:\n spec:\n securityContext:\n runAsUser: 0\n runAsGroup: 33\n volumes:\n - name: images-vol\n persistentVolumeClaim:\n claimName: images-pvc\n - name: ssh-identity-vol\n configMap:\n name: ssh-identity-secret\n defaultMode: 0400\n containers:\n - name: backup-container\n image: ikuchin/ssh-rsync-mysql-client\n env:\n - name: TZ\n value: Europe/Moscow\n - name: NAMESPACE\n valueFrom:\n fieldRef:\n fieldPath: metadata.namespace\n volumeMounts:\n - name: images-vol\n mountPath: /storage_local/images\n readOnly: true\n - name: ssh-identity-vol\n mountPath: /ssh-identity\n command: [\"/bin/sh\", \"-c\"]\n args: [\"cp /usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe/Moscow /etc/localtime \\\n && rsync -rptoDzh --delete -e \\\"ssh -i /ssh-identity/id_rsa -o 'StrictHostKeyChecking no'\\\" /storage_local/images/ @:/storage/ikuchin/backup/${NAMESPACE}/rsync/ \\\n && mysqldump --add-drop-table -Q -h db-service -u backup -pbackup www | gzip > mysql_dump_`date +%Y%m%d%H%M%S`.gz \\\n && tar -czf images_`date +%Y%m%d%H%M%S`.tar.gz /storage_local/images/ \\\n && scp -i /ssh-identity/id_rsa -o 'StrictHostKeyChecking no' mysql_*.gz @:/storage/ikuchin/backup/${NAMESPACE}/mysql/ \\\n && scp -i /ssh-identity/id_rsa -o 'StrictHostKeyChecking no' images_*.gz @:/storage/ikuchin/backup/${NAMESPACE}/images/ \\\n && scp -i /ssh-identity/id_rsa -o 'StrictHostKeyChecking no' mysql_*.gz @:/storage/ikuchin/backup/${NAMESPACE}/mysql/ \\\n && if [[ $(date +%u) -eq 5 ]]; then scp -i /ssh-identity/id_rsa -o 'StrictHostKeyChecking no' images_*.gz @:/storage/ikuchin/backup/${NAMESPACE}/images/; fi\"]\n resources:\n limits:\n cpu: 250m\n requests:\n cpu: 100m\n restartPolicy: Never\n```\n","has_starred","hub_user","immutable_tags_settings",{"_75":11,"_76":77},"enabled","rules",[78],".*","is_automated","permissions",{"_82":21,"_83":11,"_84":11},"read","write","admin","user","storage_size",31677569,"orgData","recentTags",[91],{"_92":44,"_93":94,"_95":96,"_97":98,"_99":100,"_50":117,"_118":94,"_119":33,"_120":56,"_57":121,"_122":123,"_124":108,"_125":117,"_126":66,"_127":21},"content_type","creator",2803282,"full_size",17446266,"id",183357248,"images",[101],{"_102":103,"_104":105,"_106":48,"_107":108,"_109":110,"_111":112,"_113":48,"_114":-5,"_115":96,"_63":66,"_116":-5},"architecture","amd64","digest","sha256:1893d1db535d994722f8e6190bb85b0df138f05c9bc7ead3088e7afdef283e9a","features","last_pulled","2026-10-03T01:00:04.625326301Z","last_pushed","2021-12-18T22:17:25Z","os","linux","os_features","os_version","size","variant","2021-12-18T22:17:24.872107Z","last_updater","last_updater_username","media_type","latest","repository",16075916,"tag_last_pulled","tag_last_pushed","tag_status","v2","sbxKitMetadata","isPotentialSpam","isHubSbxKitsEnabled","showSbxLogoOverride","sbxTrademarkText","displaySecurityMetadata","tagAttestations","tagsHaveAttestations",[],"selectedTag","attestationsUrl","routes/_layout.r.$namespace.$reponame.tags",{"_38":141,"_148":149,"_135":158,"_159":11},{"_40":142,"_42":143,"_45":46,"_47":48,"_49":11,"_50":51,"_52":53,"_54":144,"_57":35,"_32":33,"_58":59,"_60":44,"_61":62,"_63":64,"_65":66,"_67":-5,"_68":62,"_69":70,"_71":11,"_72":33,"_73":145,"_79":11,"_80":147,"_85":33,"_86":87},[],[44],[56],{"_75":11,"_76":146},[78],{"_82":21,"_83":11,"_84":11},"tags",{"_150":64,"_151":-5,"_152":-5,"_153":154},"count","next","previous","results",[155],{"_92":44,"_93":94,"_95":96,"_97":98,"_99":156,"_50":117,"_118":94,"_119":33,"_120":56,"_57":121,"_122":123,"_124":108,"_125":117,"_126":66,"_127":21},[157],{"_102":103,"_104":105,"_106":48,"_107":108,"_109":110,"_111":112,"_113":48,"_114":-5,"_115":96,"_63":66,"_116":-5},[],"canDeleteTags","actionData","errors"]
