⁠Vesta_APIServer

This project was created with Node version 10.11.0

⁠Prerequisite

npm should be installed in local machine to run this application. Open the terminal and follow the below steps

⁠Steps to install on Mac

1. brew install node - install using homebrew
2. npm -v - for checking version

⁠Steps to install on Windows

1. Go to this link https://nodejs.org/en/download/⁠ and download the windows installer

2. Open the downloads link in your browser and click the file. Or, browse to the location where you have saved the file and double-click it to launch.

3. Next run the software and click on install then finish the installation

4. Open command prompt and check the versions of node & npm using following commands

   $ node –v $ npm -v

⁠Running Server

1. Clone the project or download to local machine

2. Using terminal go to project location and install node modules using the following command

   $ npm i - it will install all the node modules mentioned in package.json

3. Once npm install is successfull , then run the follwing command to run the server

   $ npm start

It will start the server with the following output

Apollo Server on http://localhost:8000/api/graphql⁠

click on the above link , which will take us to the graphql user interface.
