Minimal Docker image to run the rapid population synthesis code SEVN (https://gitlab.com/sevncodes/sevn⁠). It is based on the official Ubuntu OS image (Ubuntu 22:Jammy⁠). In addition to SEVN it includes the following:

- GNU g++-11 
- git 
- cmake 
- vim 
- nano 
- Emacs

⁠Run

A basic run example:

docker run -it iogiul/sevndocker /bin/bash

When it is run, it creates an infinite process giving the possibility to enter the systems and use SEVN. The user will land in the folder app/SEVN containing the folder sevn and bash script run.sh. SEVN is already installed, the user can directly use it editing the file run.sh. Notice that the complete path to the sevn folder is app/SEVN/sevn.

Notice SEVN is obtained through git clone so the container will always have the most updated version of the code. If a specific version is required the user can use git to change version and then re-compile the code.
