This project contains the Dockerfile and other files needed to create the Docker image for the Fuse BLE device service container.

Current Version: v1

⁠Manual Image Build

note, this image will be built automatically with an update to this repository.

docker build --rm -t dellfuse/docker-iot-device-ble:v1 .

Note: Docker Hub will tag all builds as "latest" versus v1 as specified here. Make sure you use your version number in the run command below.

⁠Container Run

login to your docker account first

docker pull dellfuse/docker-iot-device-ble

docker run -p 9992:9992 --name iot-device-ble --net=fuse-network --volumes-from fuse-files -d dellfuse/docker-iot-device-ble:v1

Note, this assumes the fuse-network has already been created with "docker network create fuse-network" command.

⁠Notes

The fuse-files, fuse-mongo, and iot-core-metadata containers should be up before running/starting this container.

This container will log in the fuse-files volume (under /fuse/logs/iot-device-ble.log).

ble Device service runs on 9995 by default. This port is exposed via the docker file

Java 8 is installed as the base image of this image.

The micro service's application.properties installed with this image allow for config changes without having to rebuild the micro service JAR.
