⁠About

Currently this image only supported on Linux. I use archlinux:latest for base Operating System for this image.

⁠How to run

To run this image as container with GUI support you can use this command below

xhost +local:
docker run --name yourContainerName -it -v "/tmp/.X11-unix:/tmp/.X11-unix" -e DISPLAY=$DISPLAY irdaislakhuafa/vscode:latest

• ⁠Description

  • xhost +local: : to enable sharing X11 server between Host os and other os in local (like as chroot)
  • docker run : to run docker image with create new container based on image
    • --name : to use your custom container name without this option docker will create container with random name
    • -it : use interactive mode -i and enable TTY/SHELL for -t
    • -v "/tmp/.X11-unix:/tmp/.X11-unix" : to use Host X11 server socket in docker container
    • -e DISPLAY=$DSPLAY : to use same display with Host OS, this will not work if you don't use xhost +local:
    • irdaislakhuafa/vscode:latest : my vs code image name
